: Donovan Rall is one of the key figures of the Swartland Revolution, helping to set a new direction and benchmark for South Africa's wine industry. His success with Rhône varieties has been recognized by Tim Atkin MW, who classifies the winery as one of the country's few First Growths. 

 Donovan laments, “We don’t have old Grenache Blanc in South Africa. The oldest Grenache Blanc I knew of was 42 years old, but it was pulled out before I could get my hands on it.” A variety Donovan excels with, the 2022 is raised in concrete eggs with a small portion in amphora.
