Chateau de Corcelles 2020 Copains d'Aboard Gamay Noir

2020 Copains d'Aboard Gamay Noir

Chateau de Corcelles

Beaujolais, France | $26.50

Château de Corcelles is a historic estate that owns 92 hectares of vines across Beaujolais, though this is technically bottled as a Vin de France. The name translates to “friends first” and this is the type of wine that is really meant to be enjoyed at the dinner table.

Tasting Note

This is made in a classic Beaujolais style – partial carbonic maceration and stainless steel maturation – resulting in a pure expression of Gamay with abundant red berry fruit and soft tannins. It's best enjoyed with a light chill. My trick: throw it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes before opening and it should be just about perfect.

Food Pairing

Cedar-planked salmon or cheese and charcuterie.
