Three Generations Strong: Led by the third, and with the fourth generation on the rise, Bodegas Emilio Moro stands as one of the oldest and leading quality-driven producers in Ribera del Duero and Bierzo. Tradition isn't just a word here—it's a legacy of responsibility. They credit the excellence of their wines to this proud lineage.
The Bramble: Originating from Galicia, Godello lies somewhere between a crisp and refreshing Albariño and round, textural Chardonnay. El Zarzal, named after the Spanish word for bramble, marks the debut of Emilio Moro's Godello wine range, highlighting varietal character while maintaining freshness.
Tasting Note
This is complex, mineral and textured, with peach and lime joined by fresh herbs, river rocks, and a delicate touch of spice. There's certainly a depth here that you don't always find with Godello, at least in my experience. It's crisp yet rich and creamy, benefiting from aging in French oak foudres. Spanish whites continue to offer tremendous value, and this shows why.
