For over a century, the Rosso family has nurtured vines in Serralunga d’Alba, Barolo. With a contemporary perspective spanning four generations, Davide Rosso continues this legacy, guided by his father Giovanni's innovative restructuring of the vineyards with ultra-modern planting layouts.
Stepping into his father's footsteps in the early 2000s, Davide swiftly ascended to prominence as one of Piedmont’s premier producers. His wines, characterized by timeless tradition and expert craftsmanship, embody strength, structure, and elegance in every bottle.
One such expression of Davide’s philosophy is found in this Roero Arneis. Exemplifying elegance, balance, and minerality, it captures the essence of the sandy soils of the Roero region.
Tasting Note
Arneis is challenging to grow – it translates to “little rascal” for a reason – but it is worth the effort. This bottling is an archetypal example: dry, crisp, and textured, combining juicy nectarine and lemon with sliced almonds and perfumed white blossoms. So often, Italian white wines are about restraint, but there's a generosity to the fruit here that is quite satisfying.
