Synchromesh Riesling 2025

2025 Riesling

Synchromesh

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia | $27.99

Storm Haven Vineyard is the 107 acre heart of Synchromesh in Okanagan Falls. Centered around the base of Peach Cliff mountain, a 50 million year old volcanic structure and along the Okanagan Fault Line, this site has incredible range in geology and elevation (1,300 - 2000 feet). Soil structure ranges from clay loam on the Eastern borders to sandy loam on the Southwest. Decomposing granite and large quartz deposits make up the majority of the planted area with high levels of slate and metallic deposits surrounding the fault line ridge. The soil structure's influence, along with large rock formations, elevation and exposure have allowed small planting blocks of different grape varieties and clones that are suited to the unique conditions in each area.

Synchromesh has a total of 21 acres planted to vines, each block individually fenced and developed to help keep the majority of the property accessible and protected for wildlife habitat and conservation efforts. They continue to undergo habitat assessments and work with local wildlife organizations to maintain and protect the undeveloped land and sensitive habitat. Farmed without synthetics or chemicals and following a holistic approach, Synchromesh strives to grow vines within the existing ecosystem rather than manipulating it.

Synchromesh’s 2025 Riesling is a thoughtful blend of fruit from three Riesling properties on the Naramata Bench, Okanagan Falls and Oliver areas, aimed at capturing the character of each site in one vibrant and fruit driven wine.

Tasting Note

Synchromesh’s 2025 Riesling is juicy and bright with ample lime, tangerine, mandarin, ripe pear and perfumed apricot on an off-dry palate; the 39.35 g/L residual sugar is expertly balanced against a swell of racy acidity.

Food Pairing

At 8.7% ABV, you can take this wine in many directions most wines can’t go: Thai green curry, spicy peach salsa over grilled shrimp, pork dumplings with chili crisp. The residual sugar in Synchromesh’s 2025 Riesling soothes food with heat and salt, while the wine’s acidity keeps everything lifted and fresh.
