Mayhem was born from the collaboration of two established wine industry siblings—Terry from Anarchist Mountain Vineyards and JAK from Meyer Family Vineyards—to produce wines of excellent value from classic and lesser-known grape varieties.
Following a whole bunch pressing, the Pinot Gris was fermented for 9 weeks in a combination of ceramic balls (41%), neutral puncheon (17%), and stainless steel (42%). The result shows how the interaction of various vessels can influence the wine’s character.
Tasting Note
This is just as much about the texture as it is the fruit. It shows a combination of fresh grapefruit and nectarine, with a tropical guava and lemon grass accent. The acids are bright and mouthwatering, with a richly concentrated palate that's buzzing with wet stones and delicate spice, finishing long with citrus pith. An elevated, sophisticated take on Okanagan Pinot Gris.
